Shipping, Returns and Care Info
All jewelry is mailed in a foil branded box or satin bag and ready for gift giving. Each item is made by hand to order and is processed in the order in which it it is received. As each piece is handmade and we are a small studio, orders may take up to 3 weeks if an item is out of stock. If an item is in stock and available, we will always try our best to ship with in 3 days. Your patience is always appreciated.
Our default shipping method is USPS First Class Mail with Tracking & Insurance for $8. USPS First Class Mail can take 2-6 business days (3 days average) to be delivered. You can upgrade to Priority Mail for $12 or Priority Express for $30. Priority Mail takes 1-3 days.
We also offer carrier-calculated UPS rates as well if you prefer over the USPS.
International orders are shipped default via USPS First Class International Mail. USPS estimates that international orders will arrive in 6-10 business days, but orders can sometimes be delayed for 3-4 weeks by customs. We also offer express options as well as DHL Worldwide Express. We will refund shipping overages. International buyers are responsible for paying any import fees or tariffs levied by their country. We cannot estimate what these fees will be as they vary by country. Once a package leaves the United States, we have no responsibility for it.

We want you to be happy with your purchase! While we inspect all items carefully before we ship, should an item show up broken or defective we will be glad to issue you a replacement. If this is the case, please let us know within 5 days of receiving your purchase.
We don't process refunds on items due to change of heart. We will however facilitate an exchange or issue store credit. Please understand, we are a small company and each piece of jewelry is made to order. The nature of working with raw stones and creating handmade means that no items are exactly alike, therefore they may vary slightly from the photos.

In the event of an exchange/credit, the customer is responsible for shipping costs involved in the returning of the item. Item must be sent back with original packaging and with receipt of purchase. Items returned/exchanged without prior notification will not be processed.
Should you request an order to be cancelled after more than 12 hours have passed, your order will be subject to a cancellation fee of $20 or 25% of the order, whichever is less.
Due to the delicate nature of handmade jewelry and the use of vintage materials and natural stones, Dea Dia jewelry is fragile and should be handled with the utmost of care.
Please avoid showering, bathing or swimming while wearing your jewelry. Opals, especially, should be kept away from water and dried as soon as possible should they come in contact since they are a very porous stone and water can cause them to change colors.
Since some of our metal is raw, untreated brass, bronze or silver, it will develop a patina over time. We believe that patina adds to the unique character of jewelry. Jewelry should be stored in a dry environment or in a plastic bag to prevent oxidation. However, if you wish to remove the patina you can clean with a jewelry polishing cloth (we recommend Sunshine cloths) or you can rub in ketchup or a pasty mix of baking soda and water directly to the metal for a few minutes and wiping clean with a dry cloth. Please take care of avoiding stones when using this method.
Gold plated jewelry should not be polished with a compound or jewelry polishing cloth as this may wear the finish down over time. Instead you can wipe clean with a soft damp cloth followed by a dry cloth.
Free repairs are offered on jewelry purchased within 6 months. After that a small fee may be charged. You are also welcome to send back any jewelry for cleaning and/or polishing for a $15 charge.
